Finally uploaded the pics from the Hobe Sound Bible Church Singing Christmas Tree… some of them came out really nicely. But for reasons unknown, I can’t seem to get the images to post in this dia...
Ten years married
Can you believe that tomorrow is our tenth wedding anniversary already? That means that it’s FIFTEEN YEARS since we first met. That seems like such a terribly long time that it’s hard to wrap the...

Tired and bored today… it is COLD down here this week and my lungs are protesting so I can’t do much… John’s off today and Monday but we’re not doing anything special. I wanted to go to a Christm...
Diabetes update
John saw the doc on Friday and got yelled at for not taking his metformin because ‘nobody his size could possibly control type II diabetes with diet alone’… the doc had to eat his words - he call...
Singing Christmas Tree
John took me to see the Singing Christmas Tree last night. We were so glad we went because it was a very professional event - the Hobe Sound Bible Church has been doing this for eighteen years, s...
Stupid doctors...
I think we need to find a new doctor… John’s appointment today was a complete and utter waste of time. Apparantly he was supposed to have his A1C done before he went (when? nobody said anything t...

Just got back from seeing Mockingjay Part 1 at the cinema… we were really really looking forward to it, and I wrote the opening date on our calendar to make sure that we wouldn’t ‘forget’ to go s...
Serendipity
The strap fell off my purse in the middle of the carpark yesterday so I had no choice but to buy a new one. Luckily I was actually on my way to TJ Maxx to look for a new one, and even more luckil...

Tired, cranky, and hormonal today… it must be coming up on that time of the month again. The nurse asked me when my last cycle was and I couldn’t remember because I don’t bother to keep track (wh...
No TV for us :(
John ordered a 55” tv in a ‘super sale’ that turned out to be a big oops on the part of whoever manages the Dell website… they dithered about it for three days, and now they decided that nope, th...
We voted
Well, we voted… I nagged John into it! He’s not feeling well today and he didn’t want to but I pointed out that it would probably only take five minutes because we live in a relatively small town...
Some things are Meant to Be...
We decided we need a larger tv for the living room and we were going to get it for Christmas. I told John we could go up to 50 inches if he could find one for a suitable price. Last night he was ...
Kindle
When I heard there was a new Kindle coming out I really wanted it - until I saw the price… $200 for a black and white tablet that only does books?! I don’t care if it’s got the world’s sharpest ...
Nice day today
The weather’s lovely today, so my pain level is minimal… there was a sign on the street corner for a ‘name your own price’ yardsale so I asked John to take me to look at it today… we ended up dri...
Paranoid
Been feeling very stressed lately and it’s making me feel all kinds of anxious paranoia, which I’m trying to ignore as best I can without sticking my head entirely in the sand and saying ‘la la l...
Shopping
Went to Trader Joes this afternoon… spent eighty dollars on groceries and got most of our shopping done in one place. Alas the pumpkin bars are history for another year… I was really hoping to ge...

That was a disappointment
Did a table at the community yard sale at a local church today… I’d hoped to have a good turnout because it’s a well-established church and I thought it was fairly large, but it turns out their p...
Just got home from Orlando
We spent the Columbus day weekend in Orlando with family… nice peaceful visit. We were going to go on an outing on Sunday but it was too hot, so we just sat around and nattered. John took his BIL...
Money sucks... or rather, not having enough of it!
John had our taxes done yesterday - they charged us $200 to do them and guess what? The return will just cover their fee for processing it. :( As usual, since we don’t own a damned house we fall ...
A busy busy Sunday
The weather was just perfect today, and because of it, I had a remarkably productive and entirely pain-free day… We opened the back doors up all afternoon and turned the fan on on the porch to tr...
Book Description
I wasn’t eager to bail on it. I’ve consistently kept at least one diary over on the open diary site for the last 13 years. But since they’ve sadly abandoned it and they can’t make the site work for more than an hour at a time, it was either time to give up, give in, or switch… if anybody has any tips for how to extract 13 years worth of diary from there and bring it here, I’d love to hear them. My health is a bit of a trainwreck the last few years and DH has problems too, but aside from that we live a very ordinary life. I do the best I can each day…
