John took me to see the Singing Christmas Tree last night. We were so glad we went because it was a very professional event - the Hobe Sound Bible Church has been doing this for eighteen years, so they have everything down pat. They also told us about their concert series and I’m going to put them on the calendar for next year as soon as I get one… all their events are free admission except for their annual Musical (not the tree, they do a full musical as well) and it’s not very far away from us. It’ll be nice to have some evenings out to look forward to. :) We ducked out of the concert a little early to avoid the crowd and picked up chicken sandwiches at McDonalds for dinner. Their eggnog shake is delicious btw… only snag with the evening was that changing my routine and taking extra meds at night meant that I really couldn’t sleep last night. So I was up half the night and I’m super tired today…
No church today - we didn’t get up till 9.30, then I nebulised and made breakfast and it was after 11 before we left the house to go grocery shopping. I had wanted to go down to the farmers market for some more spices, but it was too late to go. One of these days I’ll get there again… John’s off tomorrow. Not sure what we’re going to do. Maybe finish the christmas shopping. He’s bought me some stuff online (he says) but I just got him some stocking stuffers and I haven’t been able to get him the ‘big’ present I wanted to. It’s more expensive than I thought it would be so it might not happen… oh well. John’s off next Friday too, then he has to work Christmas week, so we’ll be staying home quietly for Christmas Day. I just saw an article about a concert at the planetarium that I’d like to go to… we’ll call them Monday and see if we can still get tickets. Still in a good mood about Christmas this year… it’s a nice change not to have the Holiday Blahs. :)
