Can you believe that tomorrow is our tenth wedding anniversary already? That means that it’s FIFTEEN YEARS since we first met. That seems like such a terribly long time that it’s hard to wrap the brain around… the years just flow into each other, and time passes without even noticing. Our lives aren’t exciting, but that’s okay. I think I’m happier this year than I’ve been in a long time. Not that I was particularly UNhappy, but holidays have always been a time for envying what we don’t have, can’t afford, and just plain have been denied by nature… but for some strange and mysterious reason my usual ‘holidayitis’ has entirely passed me by. I am content with what I have… I have my husband and my cats and we are happy with our life together. And all is good…
We’re going to do ‘dinner and a movie’ tomorrow to celebrate. John says we’ll do something fancier in January, but it we don’t that’s okay… going to a movie is an event for us. And Saturday I want him to take me to a (free) concert up in Jensen Beach…
