The weather was just perfect today, and because of it, I had a remarkably productive and entirely pain-free day… We opened the back doors up all afternoon and turned the fan on on the porch to try to help move the air into the house. I got sooooo much done! Silver the ever-annoying woke me up at 7am because she thinks that ‘breakfast’ should be served the moment the sun clears the horizon, not at 8am, which is the earliest I’m willing to get up without a crowbar… John woke up while I was in the shower, so we had plenty of time to get to 9am church. Church was really cute today - it was the Blessing of the Animals and there were a couple of really cute d-creatures at the service to make us all smile, especially when they brought them up to the altar rail for blessing and the pug was so over-enthusiastic (and small) that he kept trying to climb underneath it to get up on the platform… lol And he kept trying to get friendly with the other dog… but really they were very well-behaved. Sometimes I wish I had a sweet little doggy I could take everywhere with me, but a) the landlord said NO DOGS when he rented the place, b) we can’t afford another mouth to feed, and more importantly, c) I have more than enough trouble keeping the cats basic needs met (clean litter box, food twice a day, cuddles on demand and the occasional playtime) - there is no way I could manage a dog who needed to be walked several times a day!
After church we made a quick supermarket run for really cheap chicken breasts at Winn-Dixie (only $1.88lb) We got our rebate card from John’s new computer part the other day, so I used that and voila $18 of free chicken, and a packet of ground beef… then to Publix for bread (I got the rest of the groceries at Walmart yesterday, and because we’re so short of funds I had to count my way around the store and try to make it in $50, with lots of frozen veggies to keep us healthy! Turned out I didn’t have quite enough money because I decided to buy a $5 roast chicken (It was 4pm and we hadn’t even had lunch!) so I was going to leave some of the frozen veggies out, and the lady behind me very kindly bought them for me. It was only six bucks, but it was very nice of her!
Came home, put the groceries away, made flatbread pizzas for us because I’ve been desperately craving pizza - and then realised that we’d just eaten our lunch and it wasn’t even twelve o’clock yet! It felt more like 2… while the oven was warm I made up a pumpkin cheesecake pudding to try to satisfy my craving for soft comforting creaminess, and then I lay down and had a rest for a few hours before tackling the Sunday afternoon chore of Trash Day (they collect the trash twice a week, but recycling only on Mondays and we really only need to put the bin out once a week, so Sundays it is). I got the vacuum out to clean up the stray kitty litter, and ended up vacuuming the whole back part of the house, the back porch since the doors were open, and the kitchen. Made hamburgers for dinner, trimmed back the creeper in the front garden bed to tidy it up, and while it’s only 7.30, I’m pooped! I should sleep well tonight… Oh, and John helped me change the sheets while I washed his work clothes this afternoon, so we have nice clean sheets tonight!

Aren't "well-used" days wonderful? My energy level is still so low. I can feel that my muscles want to and are capable of moving, but the energy just isn't there. Best to you and John.
