Been wondering where on earth my Cycle was… when I had my physical last week they asked me but I couldn’t remember when ‘Day 1’ was aside from the fact that yes, it did show up last month… I THINK it was right after we got home from Orlando (I seem to remember thinking that that was convenient - at least it had waited until we were home!) but I thought that Day 28 was a week ago and I’ve been feeling like I’m due to start any second now for the last week, but apparantly I was probably entirely wrong… counting on the calender as best I can, I THINK ‘Day 1’ of my next cycle will be Thursday this week… kind of inconvenient if it is, we’re already committed to going up to Orlando on Friday, and I almost always feel like a bag of poop for the first two days. It won’t be much fun driving up there if I’m feeling awful and wanting a bathroom every five minutes… but it is what it is… I just hope I don’t feel too awful this weekend! I told John that I’ll make sure to bring my walker with me so we can go on an outing while we’re up there…
Tried my new inhaler yesterday. I hope the qvar works - it tastes AWFUL! I won’t ever forget to rinse my mouth out after using it… lol I put the inhaler onto my spacer since I don’t use the ventolin puffer at home any more. Hopefully that’ll keep the powder from hitting the back of my throat and giving me thrush. Never had thrush, never want to… I never had a problem with the Advair, the doc just doesn’t think it’s working well enough, plus it’s going to be $350 a month, and the Qvar is ‘only’ one hundred-and-a-bit. Yeah, like that’s ‘cheap’… it sucks that asthma meds are so darned expensive. But they’re unfortunately essential, and they’re cheaper than a trip to the hospital. Got my box of mail-order asthma supplies the other day, and they sent me 800 vials. They say it’s a three-month supply, but it looks more like a year’s worth to me! I’m prescribed the nebuliser UP TO three times a day, but more often it’s just once in the morning and then I’m fine all day, with a top-up before bed if I need it.
