Books of Late

Life of Pi - Yann Martel This book had me hooked from the beginning. I love Yann's writing talent. I love how he was so easily able to depict such detail and beauty in all the animals he wrote ab...

You know what I need? A few hundred dollars, to spend on some items that are meaningful to me and that would prove extremely useful. The first of these is a set of heavier dumbbells, or a heavie...

Homesick Round One

It's not that I don't want to be here anymore, it's just that I am riding my first wave of true homesickness. Of course, it was bound to happen. I believe that this whole year has been a slow bui...

My Cousins' Visit

My course runs out in a few weeks. The pressure is on. I've got one question to answer on my last assessment, and I need to reference all my other questions correctly, then I'll be done. Am curre...

It's after midnight and I get a text from mum. It's a screen shot of a conversation between her and her sister. The topic is something along the lines of how strict mum is with raising children ...

I made sopaipillas for my other cousins who arrive tomorrow. The batch was nowhere near enough for what I would ideally have as a hosting person. There were 33. I figured I'd need to make another...

Clothes

I am finding free dress patterns online. For years I have wanted to sew clothes for my girls (and myself). My interest in this began when a friend of mine told me about how fun and easy and cheap...

Money

I ordered the present for L's mum - a 1 litre bottle of shampoo and another litre bottle of conditioner. The website stated that orders over $80 equal free shipping - I figure, why not buy myself...

I found out my (other) cousins from down south are coming up to visit me this weekend - yay!!!! It makes me feel special knowing that they are making an effort to come and see me. They rang toda...

After about 3 months of decided laziness, I exercised this morning - properly. I have been horny ever since. I forgot about this little added benefit on the side ;)

I think Helen is my closest friend here. At this point I would say my only friend (as in FRIEND-friend). And that's okay. I've always been the "one friend" kind of person anyway. She messaged m...

30 Soon

I am turning 30 in precisely 4 months. I hadn't given it much thought until recently. When I met up with Helen, Kate, Kim and Tracey at the park, I told them I needed ideas. See, there's a rea...

3 July - 11 July

3 July: Wildlife Park with Kim. That was nice. She's nice. The day was nice. The animals were nice. The koalas were nice. Life felt nice. Friday 4 July: I met up with Kim, Helen, Tracey and Kate...

We left Chile precisely 3 weeks ago. We were in the car this morning. The girls were quiet for ages, lost in their own thoughts and suddenly Little L pipes up: "We're not in Chile anymore, hey....

Our fridge is packed with food after having my cousin drop in. Him and his family, as well as his sister and her family, as well as their parents, were holidaying up this way and decided to come...

I finally found the reason why visits from L's parents are difficult for me. I don't like them. There, I admitted it to myself, and once I did, I realised straight away that I CAN actually hand...

Learn the art of gratefulness: Have I done this? Well, it's not something that happens overnight. It's certainly a work in progress. Sometimes I want nothing to do with gratefulness, but most of...

Book Description

My drive has always been, “Happiness is my Destiny.”
However, over the years I have realised that really, there is happiness to be embraced every single day of my life. Of course, the contents of my days aren’t ONLY happiness - my destiny is here, right now, this minute, this breath.

So breathe with me.

So:

L is my husband. He is awesome, there is no other word to describe him. Oh yeah there is, thoughtful, funny, helpful, funny, amazing in bed, funny. And.... FUNNY!

M is my daughter, she is 5. Headstrong, loving, individual. Beautiful. Learning how she relates to the world and learning all about Big Girl friendships since starting school. Her journey has truly begun now and she is finding her way. She’ll be a little woman before I know it. (this scares me)

L is my other daughter, she is ‘almost 3’ (she’ll tell you everyday). She is funny, crazy, cute. Definitely cute. Innocent, sensitive, in tune with nature, aware of her surroundings, beautiful.

I’m not sure that I write about anyone else all that regularly, but you’ll figure out who they are.

Welcome :)
