When you are allocated to a dinner table on a cruise you never know who will be your companions - unless you are travelling with a lot of other people.
We were on a table for six with two other couples and we were all very different - but had a great time chatting on all kinds of topics - and it certainly added to the enjoyment. We would see each other around the ship and have a chat at odd times - and often one couple whose husband had MS would be on their balcony as we walked by. One day we saw the other two couples in conversation and a took a pic - great to have new friends

Can't wait! When Jonny first joined the company a guest could Invite staff to join their table but not now. Though think he can use the buffet. At least that is where I had lunch the day he showed me around Black Watch.

One place where staff and guests ate together - especially at lunchtime - was the Secret Garden ( not as mysterious as it sounds!) - that was more of a shared area than the dining rooms.

Interesting. I didn't know they did that.

Nice to make new friends - do you ever keep in touch with anybody you've met on holiday?

On two of the cruises people who we can meet - but no more than acquaintances - just good to share when on the ship.
