Raise Offer in 2019 Amazing Stories!

With next Tuesday (the 1st) being my scheduled last day in the office, I’ve been officially offered a raise if I stay. Its a good one too. $4.50/hr raise. DAMMMMNNNITT. I don’t know if thats an angry or happy dammit. Nothing is in writing yet though, this was all verbally communicated to me through M who talked to Bossman. So far nothing in writing that says “if you choose to accept this offer, you must work XX months from now” (i.e. you can’t accept the offer and then quit a week later – all of my PTO gets cashed out at the higher rate after a raise. My PTO balance will be worth A LOT more). This even only came up because someone in one of our New Mexico offices asked M this morning if there was any way they could get me to stay, and M informed me that this conversation occurred. I just threw it out there that a decent raise offer would get me to stay because right now my family has no idea I put a 3 weeks notice in stating that I was moving home. I just wanted to see what they’d do with that bit of incredibly true information. So I may stay. At least for a little bit.
