My Prayers in meh...

My prayers for protection and safety go out to those that live in the southern counties of Missouri from where I live. I have two friends that live out where the flooding has kept them from being able to come to work. Trapped on an island is pretty much what it’s is. The one friend came in yesterday and grabbed 3 days worth of work. Smart cookie.

My prayers to my cousin. I don’t know exactly how many black people live in Barnhart/Imperial, but she’s one of them and I hope she can get in and out okay. She’s more down 55 where I am.

I do get a little water in my basement, but that’s from a cracks in the wall. Nothing I can do about that, but call the landlady (because I think they are splitting up.)

So that’s it. To my buddy here that lives close to me, hope you are faring well and out of waters/harms way.

Take care one and all…

Town is getting pretty flooded. Someone did a youtube of all the pics from yesterday, and I have to upload the pics of our barn that went under. We're far from over seeing that the Missouri hasn't even crested here in Hermann yet. Streets are closed... I had to go a round about way to get to dg this morning and it was a struggle with the big trucks going through the tiny side streets.
Now, Lets see if I can load the damn pics to photobucket etc.
Lets hope that the 4 inches they're calling for the next few days is a lie.

::smh:: It's crazy, but it happens. I keep thinking about the intersection at 141 and Hwy 44 being TOTALLY submerged. If it didn't happen the last time I would not believe that it could happen.

Town is still under water. Actually it's even higher on Market street than it was the other day. Yesterday, the fields north of town, up where we live were dry. Now they're licking the pavement and Highway Y and K are closed. I haven't looked a the latest update from town because people are damn stupid and think it's a good idea to come to town for the weekend. smh

It must be near my hometown in Southern Illinois. A lot of flooding going on there, too. My prayers for all.
