I’m trying to stay away from the political posts on Twitter, but seeing that most of what I follow are news agencies and civil rights groups it’s really hard to do that.

I did find a link listing all the state reps on Twitter so you can voice your opinions, tell them you want gun reform (I hope that is what you want) etc.

What kind of reform?

Gilraent Timid ⋅ June 17, 2016

Well, for me I totally understand having guns for hunting, a strict background check (really REALLY strict) for hand guns... you don't need a semi automatic assault rifle for ANYthing. If people are on the FBI watch list or are investigated they shouldn't be allowed guns of any kind, or if you're on the no fly list the same applies.
That being said, it's up to you what kind of reform you want to vocalize. Everyone has a right to speak about what they feel is the right way to do things. That's what makes this place great. I may not agree with ya, but it's your opinion :)

I agree with some of that, so we will just agree not to talk about guns. LOL Love ya!!!

Gilraent Timid ⋅ June 17, 2016

lol love you too :) I refuse to talk politics with my friends (or sisters :) ) because I lean so far to the left it annoys people ;)

I follow Sassy Sanders and Nihilistic Arbys; I really don't follow much. It's friends on tumblr posting too much current event shit that makes me immediately skip their post. I won't tell people what to post - but I can reblog what I choose.

I'm a news junkie, but it is stressing me out. All the bad news, nothing good. I'm scrolling past looking for funny stuff to lighten the load.

I followed the primaries closely. As in, I watched every debate on both sides, and would check election results as they came in. I did try to keep myself sans too much media commentary. Now that the primaries are over, i'm putting my blinders on. People fucking overreact to everything.

This is me as well.

NRA when no shootings: "Gun control measures are sufficient, guns for all!"

NRA when shootings: "Clearly the solution is more guns!"

Gilraent Timmy™ ⋅ June 17, 2016

Exactly that! It's just like the so-called preachers saying that more LGBT+ should have been killed.
That is whats wrong in the world.

Tl;dr: the "good guy with a gun" doesn't exist.
