Crows - a fascination in Holy Shit!

Man, crows are fascinating creatures.

It reminds me of one of my walks last week that I wrote about, where I’d sat down by the river with my drink and pie. A short while later, two crows flew in and walked around by the table I was sitting at, and even then, I sat silently observing them, observing me.

It was clear they knew I had food and were taking their chances on me giving them some, but they weren’t forceful about it like some other birds are (seagulls, Ibii, etc). They patiently walked around, jumped up on the table, remained quiet. Given that the crow of the Crow isn’t the most pleasant sound in the world, I was glad they weren’t making a fuss.

Their intelligence has always fascinated me, and the above video just proves that further.

It’s almost like they can sense the human mind/kindness. They did eventually get some food from me, but even then they didn’t wildly attack it in a rush to get it first out of the two of them. One calmly walked over and gobbled it up, whilst the other waited patiently for another piece to be thrown, and the other did the same for it’s friend.

These guys are much more cool than the asshole birds that I will have to put up with (more than likely) in a few weeks time (Magpies).
