I think I exhausted myself today. I just went for another one of my walks. Didn’t take any pics because I’ve walked it heaps of times before, but it was still a beautiful day. I’m actually wondering if I got a little sunburned.
It was around a 23 degree day today. Yesterday was a 27! THAT is decent Winter weather. Not that bullshit from a few weeks ago, ergh.
It still always seems cold in the lower-half of this house where my bedroom is, so that’s the reason I’m walking so much on my days off in Winter.

I always bring my bag with me, which contains my books, because I have the intention of sitting down somewhere nice and just catching up on where I left off. But that hasn’t happened the last few times. I’ve just gotten distracted walking and observing and such.

They are now hiring out Segways at Southbank, as I noticed a family going past on them. Further up the path, sure enough, there was the stand. They’d wanna make sure they return em! They were only little ones though, not like the big ones I was used to seeing. Even with Queensland becoming the Nanny-State it is with it’s lockout laws and smoking laws, riding a Segway on a footpath is a newly created law that we allow! Go figure :)

So that spent up a fair chuck of my day. I started off walking around the parklands and made my way through the train station, down to the river, across the bridge and kept walking into and around West End, then back down to Southbank where I had a bite to eat, perved on a few of the nice-bodied guys at the fake beach. One guy looked Northern European and very tanned with glowing white teeth. Naturally he was chatting up an equally attractive girl. Of course my mind went to the gutter imaging what was going to occur between those two later on in the day :P

I’m home now. I was considering catching the ferry to Portside to watch a movie, as there’s a Brenton Thwaits (phoarr!) film playing there I hadn’t heard of and the tickets were only $6, but it was only late sessions and I guess I could attempt it tomorrow or Wednesday after I’ve been paid.

I did just order my groceries online again, because I figured why not, since my work is for some reason offering free delivery AND $10 off a shop until tomorrow. Since I need food anyway, may as well get that delivered tomorrow morning so I don’t have to worry about both it and lugging it home.
A lot of the over-priced pre-packaged meals were half price, so I’m being naughty and going with those rather than the healthier cooking from scratch option like I usually do. I’ll probably be consuming preservatives along with it this week, so hopefully there won’t be too much shit in there when I read the ingredients. Seems yummy though, like Thai Curries and Shepherds pies etc - good Winter foods, but you know how companies are with cost cutting and food additives and all that jazz. The good thing is that Australia has very strict food laws, so I’ll see how I feel. At least it’ll be a more convenient food week with less clean-up, as I’ll only have to throw away the trays, and who doesn’t love less clean-up?
It also feels almost like an “Aldi-shop” week because of how much money I appear to have saved via all the discounts etc. It has worked out that I have gotten $180 ($191 with delivery) worth of groceries for $88, so gotta love that. I suppose if there was an Aldi nearby, that would probably work out as the saving there every week, as opposed to the once-in-a-blue-moon opportunity I had with my own work this week.
Oh, if anyone else wants to take advantage of it, it’s valid til tomorrow if you enter the code ‘SHAREQLD’ at checkout, but I assume that’s probably only people in Queensland lol, but it did say ‘For your family and friends to enjoy’ so why not.

My friend Benji is visiting from Sweden and asked if he could crash at mine Thursday night. That’s all well and good, except that I get up at 4am on Friday mornings, so I told him if he doesn’t mind getting up that early, then, sure!
He said he’ll look around for a non-4am option and get back to me, lol.

Nice walk. I hate families. Your grocery talk made me hungry. I've started slowly trying to avoid preservatives, which in America is about as effective as avoiding oxygen.

Hahaha, so it seems. We have preservatives in a lot of food too, but I think the food laws limit how much there can be. The latest is a government-initiative 'Star-Rating' system on the front of food packaging - 5 being great, 1 being bad.
Even MacDonalds does healthy options.

Great saving on your groceries, wow!

Yeah, if I'd got half of them!
