Our friend V has a 17 year old son, M who has Down Syndrome, is partly deaf, learning difficulties and asthmatic.
She had us in fits of hysterical laughter when she said M was 6 and he was sitting on the settee playing with a Lego type of thing and one of their cats was laying next to him, sleeping.
M, he really didn’t mean any harm as he loved the cat, but one of the parts of a toy he was playing with was a street lamp and he quickly shoved the pole up the cats arse!
Poor baby shot through the roof with fright, thankfully no harm done, no pain, just more of a shock, and he went flying around the livingroom at speed! He recovered!
