I was death scrolling TikTok and saw a video of an artist that said he was singing at a church and someone came up and said - you are a disappointment because he also sings country music too.
How horrible to carry the weight of that and knowing you are struggling trying to make it as an independent artist. Then, on top of that while you can still enjoy singing in church where people are supposed to be comforting and encouraging you find the most defiled attitudes. You don’t get that type of language at the clubs and bars.
My heart really goes out to them.
Makes me wonder what the person that told them that went thru to become that negative and bitter. I don’t ever want to find myself that bitter that it comes out in hurting others.
