I woke up at 3:30am Sunday morning and decided I should try to create an electronic song that was upbeat and kind of positive and beautiful.
I failed miserably.
I definitely made the most gothic song I’ve ever made in my entire life.
Vampire disco
It’s called “Masks” and it’s kind of my…pandemic anthem.
I also got drunk yesterday for the first time in forever.
I hate getting drunk.
I was recording this song and drinking whiskey at like 4am because making songs is more fun when you’re drinking and then…I just kind of forgot to eat.
So I ended up posting a bunch of dumb shit on Facebook.
Basically telling everyone to grow up
Stop posting memes to an audience of people who agree with you and actually do something about the things you’re upset about instead of this mutual masturbation nonsense that happens on Facebook…which is an app created and controlled by a group of people who don’t give a flying fuck about you at all and they’re collecting your data to use against you.
Like, what the actual fuck?
So I deleted all of those posts…not before a bunch of people already saw them though.
And then I started ranting to friends about the upcoming civil war.
It was just an ugly scene.
This is why I hate getting drunk.
Today I haven’t worked hardly at all…I just can’t. I don’t feel good at all.
But this song is awesome, and probably worth it.
Okay.
I’m going to go lay down or something.

Kind of a joke to me is a T shirt I once saw: "Instant Asshole. Just Add Alcohol". Which is what I did a lot of long ago. Ruined some relationships and added more ruin with my stupid justifications and apologies. I hope you are feeling better now. I like to think of "Failure" as "PRACTICE" now. As long as it doesn't kill, cripple or drive you insane. Fuck It, Drive On. As for FB, true friends will laugh shit off and forgive you. Sincerely, reformed asshole. (Damn I hope so ;-) )

I got around to listening to your music. Truly a talented man! I have about 0 musical talent but a love of much. The last passion I had was opera. I think it the highest form of music due to the complexity of it. I do believe you are a very creatively talented person.

The first minute and half I found a bit jarring, but from 1:31 onwards I thoroughly enjoyed it. It reminds me of classic darkwave from the early to mid nineties, the compilation tapes I used to buy at Hot Topic back in 1994-97 sounded a bit like this. Good stuff.
As far as actually doing anything, at this point I think only violence, or a record voter turn out for many years in a row, would change anything. Protests are an annoyance to the people in power at best.
Civil war is definitely a possibility. Canada should be looking to beef up its border security if it isn't already doing so.

I think there might be two accounts that we've created with that same name, so it's on whichever one is the Staging area. The songs are supposed to be private but I've been lacking on that.

I just quite FB for the second time. I went a few years without it and my life was dramatically improved, so I'm going back to that. I spent about a month on FB and decided it was ruining my life at an exponential rate.
I took a big break from Instagram and this site too.
