2019 Survey in Parenting!

What did you do in 2019 that you’d never done before?
Had a baby!

Did you stick to any resolutions? Are you making any for 2020?
I must not put things off… no wait, I’ll save that for next year.
Truthfully, the resolution has to be to be the best mother I can to Noelle.

Did anyone close to you give birth?
Well… me…!!

Did anyone close to you die?
No

What countries did you visit?
I stayed in England all year.

What would you like to have in 2020 that you lacked in 2019?
At some point later in the year, a job.

What date(s) from 2019 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
December 23rd - Noelle was born!
Jan 1st, very early in the morning… when me and Tom got together.
June 7th - Uni results day!

What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Noelle!

What was your biggest failure?
Not sure.

Did you suffer illness or injury?
Do aching and sore body bits from carting a baby around in me for 9 months count?

What was the best thing you bought?
Baby things!

Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Tom, my parents, for eing amazingly supportive when we found out that Noelle was coming

Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Prince Andrew - he gave that interview to clear things up and just made the whole thing a lot worse.

Where did most of your money go?
Uni and Noelle.

What did you get really, really, really excited about?
When I got my head around the idea… Noelle!

Compared to this time last year, are you…
i. happier or sadder? Happier.
ii. thinner or fatter? I got fatter then a lot thinner again!
iii. richer or poorer? SLightly richer as a net end of year position, because I’m not paying rent to a landlord.

What do you wish you’d done more of? Relaxing!

What do you wish you’d done less of? Swearing

Did you fall in love in 2019?
Yes, twice. At the start of the year with Tom, and towards the end, with Noelle.

What was your favourite TV program?
Probably Countdown, lol.

Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
No.

What was the best book you read?
I read The Plague Dogs by Richard Adams.

What did you want and get?
My degree!

What did you want and not get?
A job, but circumstances intervened.

What was your favourite film of this year?
Not been to the cineam this year.

What did you do on your birthday, and how old?
I was 22. I’d just got back to uni and found myself missing Tom.

What would have made 2019 better?
Being able to be with Tom more.

How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2019?
Maternity wear

What kept you sane?
Pizza, Tom, parents.

Who did you miss?
Amy, from uni.

Was 2019 a good year for you?
It had its moments that’s for sure!

What was your favourite moment of the year?
Graduation, Noelle.

What was your least favourite moment of the year?
Leaving my uni accommodation for the last time knowing that a chapter of my life had closed.

In Tom’s arms.

At home with Noelle.

Noelle, but anyone else not sure, hopefully my parents and Tom as I don’t know their plans yet.

No.

Did you make any new friends in 2019?
No

What was your favourite month of 2019?
Probably the first half of January when I truly felt that I was properly falling in love again.

None

Did you drink a lot of alcohol in 2019?
No

Did you do a lot of drugs in 2019?
Only the Pill, and well that didn’t go to plan

How many people did you sleep with in 2019?
One.

What was your proudest moment of 2019?
Getting my First.

What was your most embarrassing moment of 2019?
No idea.

If you could go back in time to any moment of 2019 and change something, what would it be?
I wouldn’t change anything. You have to take the ups and the downs.

What are your plans for 2020?
Be the best mum I can be to Noelle.
