Last Friday was Valentine’s Day.
I went out for a nice candlelit dinner with Tom for the evening. We didn’t go anywhere fancy, just to an Italian place and we shared a large plate of spaghetti bolognese together, with some garlic bread. And it was lovely food!
I almost ruined the mood though by checking my phone far too often before Tom took it from me for the rest of the evening, but looking back now he was right. It was the first time I’d been further than a few rooms away from Noelle, so I was feeling a bit anxious, expecting every five minutes that something was up and I’d get a text or a message or something from my parents. My parents ooked after her for me, I think secretly they liked being grandparents for the night with no mum to get in the way, lol.
I won’t lie, I was missing her.
Tom came home with me after and stayed the night, I did manage to give Noelle a cuddle before bed, and me and Tom cuddled up close too. And, for the first time since having Noelle, my body felt ready and relaxed enough and we, well, finished off Valentine’s night in a very traditional manner.. ;) and it was really lovely!
At least we were able to get back before the first part of Storm Dennis arrived, so we were all warm and safe inside out of the weather.
It’s time for me to give my little angel a bath, when I’ll end up with more water on me than on her no doubt!
