Sunday night. Its been a good weekend. We went for a drive some 50 miles north yesterday, Decided to check out a big river and showed the kids. Happened to be a pride festival going on this weekend, so a tiny town of 100 people had hundredsand hundreds. We had to park outside and walk in. A lot of people lol. But we got a decent hand made burger. Was nice for once to not have a cheap pre made patty that barely tastes like burger. Anyway the river was beautiful. We walked across the walk path next to a train track, and crossed to put our toes in the safe area. It was very fast moving. The kids loved looking. The river was super swollen from the melting upriver. So very dangerous.

Anyway, the drive was nice. The kids complained a lot, they dont seem to enjoy the drive haha. I refused to turn on mobile data for them to use their phones. Most of the time we were out of reception anyway. We saw some beautiful wildflowers along the road. I pulled some up by the roots but ive been told its extremely aggressive and will take over your yard. I planted it and am still debating if i want to let it grow. I planted it in a wild area. It was a beautiful sunset orange.

finished up the afternoon at home. On my yard blanket, Bunny and clippers in hand. Hes feeling perky and fresh with his new freshly shaved hair cut. ( so is my husband, who got the clippers after the rabbit this evening hehe) love quiet evenings in the yard. 80 degrees hanging in the shade. With the kids playing and baby bunnies in the grass pen.

Researched a location for camping. I hope to make it work over fourth of july. Fingers crossed. I cant pay to reserve the site till the first though. So who knows if it will be reserved before hand.

Today we wanted to do something, so after morning house cleaning chores. we took the kids to a local lake. There are very few lakes here that are ok to swim in. We have a TON of lakes. But most are either super marshy. or no public access. So the kids splashed and an hour in my husbands cousin came down with her kiddo. Mine are 5, 8, 10, 12 and 15. Her boy is 9. So he slides RIGHT in there well lol. Hes an only child and spending time with the cousins ( my kids) helps him socialize better.

Then we brought him home with us. I shaved miss celestra. The super fat super fluff haha. His mom came with her two angoras, Celestras babies from last year actually. She had me shave their bellies down well for them. I threw them in the grass pen after shaving till they were ready to go. I was going to crochet in the grass tonight. But i never did get to it lol. I ended up having to walk. Alot. Im not sure where half the day went honestly!

ive decided i dont like my mint in coconut oil infusion. It smells … odd. Not really minty, and not really coconutty. I dont like it. Plus its really hard to get it to melt lol! But mostly the smell is wrong. I put some in sunflower oil so that looks better.
My spruce tips are loosing color. Which means its all seeping into the oil in the containers. :D My oils are shades of green and orange, depending on what i put in there. Im really happy with how the infusions are coming along. And Thing 2 loves his hand scrub days later. The vanilla scent is still a bit overwhelming to me, But he enjoys it.

I still havent gotten my soap made. Its been so hot. Tomorrow its supposed to rain, so i may start the soap process. Gotta have the stove on for it! Not sure im ready haha. But its 85 degrees in the house so im not into doing much more then vegging out. at the computer.

I have 6 hats to make for custom orders. My fornicating bunny hats are a decent hit. Im happy with 6 orders :) Now if only i could get actual clients so easily. Trying to keep that bitter shade off here.
Not so easy!

Sigh, I cant believe June is nearly over. July is it for summer. August is fall and school starts. Dont tell the kids. 7 weeks. Scary thought!

Well time to sit on the boy for his evening chores. Sigh. Moms work is never done.

I bought chocolate mint and lemon mint a couple days ago .
I like that flower ! Does it have a scent ? It resembles Monarda or more commonly called “ Bee Balm”, although the outside petals are more uniform in length than bee balm .

Its quite pretty. The flower plant itself reminds me of a poppy, and the flower looks like a straw flower. But everyone is telling me its bad.
I love lemon mint, A friend has pineapple mint. Its so funny smelling a plant that is nothing like the other. But smells so different lol!
