So… on Friday morning, I was rebelling against waking up. Didn’t want to do it. Knew that it would be a better use of my time to sleep. Sleeping in bed would be better for me and everyone I encountered than going in to work and sitting at my desk, staring at a computer screen, doing nothing more than hoping that the phone didn’t ring. Which is funny and sad since that is actually a good Friday. Friday isn’t supposed to have Trials or Hearings. If there is a lot of bluster and activity on a Friday it means (1) we’re dealing with a massive problem; (2) we’re prepping for a very serious trial; or (3) we’re doing depositions. An interminably slow Friday actually means less stress, less crime, an overall better experience for our community. But… it does mean I’m mostly just sitting at my desk “here if needed” for 8 hours. So I really wanted to stay in bed. Then… I… didn’t. Because of sexy dreams creating a large erection that… lets face it… me having an erection these days is like a koala getting x-ray vision. Sure it sounds cool but in practice, it’s mostly pointless.

Of course, an erotic story instantly popped into my head but my own emotional content kind of squashed it instantly. Started out something like “Tim awoke from a passionate dream and as his eyes snapped open they fell on his rigid member. He looked beside him and checked his wife for signs of alertness. She was lightly snoring, her porcelain white face framed in a mix of brown and silver hair that somehow didn’t seem to ever muss. Tim wanted to kiss her; to lay his lips on hers and take her with the same passion that his dream had inspired. But even as the mental image formed, he shook his head to clear it from his mind. That just wasn’t the relationship he had with his wife. A more practical and likely mental image formed: One of him kissing her cheek, her waking up to tell him to leave her alone, her going back to sleep. That was reality.”

So… yeah. One of the reasons why I haven’t been writing the erotica I would like to.
Here’s a glimpse of my “DRAFTS” folder for emphasis:

(1) Ride Your Harley last worked on May 13, 2016. Story: Erotic imagining of what could have happened if my friend’s younger sister ever acted on her crush on me

(2) New Idea last worked on May 23, 2016. Story: A first person account of what happens when I masturbate… I figured, I love hearing about women and the female perspective when they do it, why not see if I can write my own experience

(3) Writing Prompts last worked on August 1, 2016. List: A collection of non-erotic entry topics to use if one is ever stuck with a desire to write and no idea what to write about

(4) NSFW: Return to Story Time last worked on October 11, 2016. Story: A story about a mysterious man working in Seattle who beds a beautiful woman, then her daughter, then both.

(5) Time Travel: A Ruse! last worked on April 25, 2017. Entry: A re-telling of my youth with speculation and consideration on “If Time Travel and Change, Then What”

(6) A Little Bit Romantic last worked on April 26, 2017. Entry: A re-telling of my youth attempting to create a narrative only focusing on the romantic, pleasant, or happy elements with less focus on the negative, unpleasant, or tragic elements.

(7) An Interesting Perspective last worked on July 31, 2017. Entry: A consideration on how to approach and amend the writing prompt “Where do you hope to be in Five Years” by suggesting “What would 5 years ago you have said? Compare to reality. Now where do you hope to be in five years? How do you get there?”

(8) Use of a Naked Day last worked on October 17, 2018. Story: A “What If” erotic scenario from when I was living in an apartment solo before Wife and I bought our house.

(9) Perhaps This Should Be Elsewhere last worked on January 30, 2019. Entry/Story Hybrid: An examination of my sexual preferences as a “Switch” and how that may or may not impact my relationship.

(10) Aoife-Like: Variations on a Theme: 1 last worked on February 14, 2019. Story: The story version of the type of messages Aoife and I would send each other to turn each other on

(11) Raven-esque: Variations on a Theme: 1 last worked on March 15, 2019. Story: The story version of the type of messages Raven and I would send each other to turn each other on

So that is what is dwelling in my Drafts Folder… wondering if I shall ever finish them… wondering if they shall ever be read.
