I was a bit nervous. I can’t lie… I always get nervous around these as I don’t know what they are going to do with him. Letting him out and not treating him would make my life hell.
Some of this was weird. Its always an adventure when he goes in front of the judge.
They called him up and used the name Donald and not Dennis which is his name, I was waiting for a mini melt down on that alone. I can tell he still got some maniac behavior going on as he gave me the middle finger this time and he was very talkative. So medication wise… not sure what’s going on now. He was much calmer before. Well the name thing… its a little funny as he has a brother named Donald.
So I guess they are having a hearing/trial to see if he’s competent to stand trial. 2 psychiatrist states yes and one said no not incompetent. Would go without saying 2 against 1 but you know the defense.... glimmer of hope??? In this case I don’t know whats best. jail time or mental health. In years past that meant a 72 hour hold and was released. ..... they did nothing. Nothing to help him long term..... this time there’s a felony attached and they were wanting to put him in a facility. Kind of glad they didn’t .
The other weird is… the judge goes, we will just throw him back in, not going to discuss bail money as he probably doesn’t have it anyway. My eyes got big as saucers. Luckily he didn’t say anything or if he did they didn’t care. I though for sure he would. He’s got a lot of money right now. They are in check form but still. $35,000 at this time. Whatever bail would have been I know it wouldn’t have been that high. All the other cases he didn’t treat like his. But then he’s a bit…umm special. Judge is not going to do anything special since he told him off.
So anyway… I will be going back to see when the next court date is....
