Jarrod picked me up from work last night. Went out to Wendy’s after.
Says he hates drive thru’s because you can’t ensure your order was made fresh, so we both go in, and gosh they’ve changed fast food lobby’s/dining area’s.
I know McDicks’ has flatscreens and wifi; this Wendy’s was full of people on laptop’s.
At frickin’ 9:33 no less.
Some tweeker was in front of us making it so very obvious that he couldn’t stay still if you paid him a gorillion dollars; who the fuck is short 75cents when they ordered a 99cent item to begin with? Manager at the counter knew what was up, too, lmao.
I remember seeing that look from Gollum a lot back when I worked at wally world.
I don’t think I ever told you, but Gollum was what my friend Nick called his manager at the mcdonalds there.
He gave me and Jarrod a glance before some Captain Saveaho comes out of nowhere with his boomer “Hey brother how short are you brother I got you brother” schpiel.
Everythings so expensive now, man, fuckin two son of baconators.
Anyway, the lobby had some music on and it was Blind Melon ‘no rain’.
I don’t think anyone working there knew who it was, though.
Tower District is hailed as a ‘diverse, artsy’ part of town, but you’re never far from some guy talking to himself or someone skulking parking lots for cigarette butts and change.
I hate doing greeter shifts, I got hired to stock shelves and unload a truck not follow around bums and junkies trying to steal candybars.
I hope the breads done defrosting now.
Bye, be good, I love you

Working in retail contributed greatly to my low opinion of humanity.
My sympathy.
