Sammy woke up yesterday morning complaining he was sick. So much so that he felt the need to text me a plea to get him a cold pack ..... There are some stored in the freezer, you never know when you will need them. I did and he told me how he’d been throwing up and how he thought he was going to pas out at work last night, his legs felt so weak. Then he told me how he started taking Lithium because he psychiatrist thinks he’s bi-polar. .... .... Neither Rocky nor I had ever gotten that from him but we are not it that room talking to him about his feelings either. I let him go back to bed and looked up the side effects of Lithium. When he got up I let him know that he wasn’t really sick that he’d been suffering side effects. Today he’s feeling much better and seems to be much more excited about life in general. Had a quick talk to him about long term effects..... i mean when mental illness meant you weren’t suitable to live in “normal” society they used to give lithium to all the “crazy” people.... and shock therapy.... and lobotomies..... and I’ve never heard of a Asylum that wasn’t haunted with spirits driven mad..... just saying he should probably find an alternative.

He agreed and explained that they (him and his doctor) agreed that after this class ends (18 days) they would change to something with less long term effects. Lithium will drive you mad as it is a heavy metal. He will have to go for blood tests twice before they switch! Then over the summer he will be off 3 months and they will be able to stay on a more steady medication.

Other than that not too much interesting going on here..... just logging stuff. Time for bed just wanted to drop a quick note
