Yes... in 2019

So the week has continued to suck but there are some upsides.

Quick recap on sucky. After not being involved enough operationally on Monday, on Wednesday I get an email basically saying “hey we’re moving payroll back to people at your location so now you’re going to do payroll too.” WTF? Do you know how time consuming doing payroll for nearly 100 people is? So yeah… constantly pulled in 18 different directions.

On the upside… James suggested on Wednesday that maybe next week he would try driving to my house and making sure his truck does ok and then going to work from my house. Then by the end of the night he changed it to coming over Thursday. So he was here when I got home and we spent all afternoon together and then he went to work. Then Friday morning he came back here after work and tried to sleep some and play video games and take care of my pups. And he’s been here since. Yesterday he even tried to help me clean. Like he moved the furniture around for me and was wiping the doors down etc. I think this is his way of seeing if he can handle living with me. Though I think his biggest concern is the drive to work. He has a bit of driving anxiety and living 10 minutes max from work vs 35 minutes is a big change for him.

We went to a movie Friday night and saw the new how to train your dragon. It was really good. I kinda cried for a minute. I hate that the weekend just seems so short. I guess at least we have all of Saturday and most of Sunday together.
