End of the Month in Public

I can hardly believe that we’re at the end of January already. It’s been a good month but it went so quickly.

Here in southern Florida we’re experiencing hotter weather than the rest of the country but cold weather for this part of the country. We’re easily 50 degrees higher than most people but it’s still feeling chilly. I love that we’re getting some fall weather in January but I’m also looking forward to getting back to those 80+ days.

I read 17 books this month. I’m pretty impressed with that number. I set a year goal of 110, so I’m well on my way. I’m planning on spending February doing some “grimace” re-reads of Twilight and 50 Shades. I don’t know if I’ll count them in my total number for the year or not. They are normally fast reads for me so I’m thinking I can read all 10 of those books plus another 10 or so.

I started my tutoring gig at Huntington Learning Center last week and I’m enjoying it. It’s not a lot of money or hours but I get out and DO something within the realm of education 4 days a week. That works for me while I wait to hear about certification. Hopefully that all gets moving.
