I got a text message at 7 a.m. from the District Associate Judge saying court was cancelled since every school district between him and the courthouse was cancelled due to weather. I figured “OKay, I can still get some work done in the office.”

I’m supposed to be at work at 8. By 8:14 I had gotten as far as 1/3 of the way there. Boss’ secretary called me to say I could work from home. I turned around. I figured… as much as I want to be in the office today; working from home does sound a lot better. Plus, it means I can actually shovel. Be a decent neighbor for a change. Our sidewalk has just… not been getting shoveled and I know an important/quality part of being part of the neighborhood is to get that shit shoveled. So that’s where I am today. Being at home and working from a tablet may make some of my usual day-to-day stuff more difficult… but we’ll see!

Glad you didn't have to go into the office, tho I'd have trouble working from a tablet. Do you at least have a keyboard? Here, it's the law that we have to shovel our sidewalk within 24 hours after the storm has stopped. Tho, we haven't done it since the last snowfall. I've been the only one shoveling this year, and decided I'd wait for hubby to do it.

I do have the keyboard. That makes an incredible difference as without it, I likely wouldn't get a single thing accomplished!
Here's a silly/crazy/ridiculous thing.... yesterday as I was snowing, I shoveled the path to our house from the street (we have two) and kept checking the sides to determine where the sidewalk started so I could be a good neighbor and shovel it. I never found it. I went inside to ask the Wife and... yeah, there isn't a sidewalk on our street. D'OH. Goes to show how many times I've been hanging out outside of the home since we bought it, I guess, lol.

LOL. That's too funny. Well, hooray for no sidewalk then! There are a couple streets in our neighborhood that don't have sidewalks. I've always found that to be odd since the rest do.
