Pruning in 2019

I spent several hours this weekend organizing and shedding all unnecessary possessions and paperwork. It’s been awhile, and as always, it comes as a surprise how much extraneous SHIT one person can accumulate. I’m really dedicating myself to living as basically and uncomplicated as I can. I think I do anyway in comparison to the average person, but I find the less clutter there is in my life, the less there is in my head. And I’ve been lax on the organizational stuff and generally undisciplined overall. This weekend has been a good first step in getting back on top of things and in charge of my life. I’m definitely a “momentum’ person- if I don’t do at least some small something to move the agenda forward each day inertia begins to settle in , and before I realize it I’m sliding back down the hill towards apathy and surrender. After this weekend’s pruning, I have some room to gather up some forward momentum and start to stretch myself out a little. I tend to get caught up in the underbrush of life, and a good healthy clearing away of the accumulated past always lightens and refreshes me. Onward....
