Did not hear from William last night. Texted him just now and I’m sure I won’t get a response till at least first break..... Heather said he’s supposed to work today. I hope he made it because I don’t think he’s got any time left. Wouldn’t that suck. I sent him 4 messages hopeful honestly that he’s so annoyed he looks at it. 1) HEY! I need to know.... do you have a place to stay? 2) The sooner I know the better I can make it. 3) I always have a couch.... expected a call last night… hope you are okay. 4) I cleaned the storage room and could pretty easily fit a full bed in there. Please let me know cause the earlier you say something the more likely I can have a bed before you get off work. Don’t be a homeless William.

i have thought about the situation and if ever there was a longing in my heart to help a military veteran now is the time I can see it through. I know he has PTSD. I know he’s been shot. I know he has a temper. I know he’s better than what he’s done recently. He needs help. Obviously, if he slept in his car..... if he went to work.... help would start with stability. I can’t give every homeless vet a place to be but I can do something here.

Destiny went on break at work and we talked. Just about whatever, my plans for today, her plans for today....and bug guy one came for Rocky. I used that as an excuse to get off the phone. As soon as that happened Heather called. She was at work about to try to talk to Williams boss because she found out he wasn’t at work this morning. She was scared and worried. None of us (Nicole, herself, or I) had heard from him yet. She was asking me how she could get in and get a hold of his boss to find out if he called in or if he just didn’t show up. This would make a huge effect on what she did next. After I got off the phone with her I got a message back from William saying : I didn’t go to work. I’m fine. Thank you.

Me: your wife called again. She’s going to try calling you. She’s afraid you’ll try to kill yourself I think.
William: 2 emojis I can’t read because he’s apple and I’m Samsung
Me: You know I can’t read those, my emojis aren’t the same
William: Oh yeah Samsung people.... they were silly
Me: So seriously though.... Do you have a place to stay that’s not your car?
William: I can grab a hotel room or something.
Me: Or you can stay with me..... hotels are expensive
William: you’re right, motels are cheaper
Me: Seriously, you won’t be able to go home for awhile as I see it. I want you to be okay. You know I’m a big worrier. You didn’t go to work? … are you still going to have a job?
William: It’s overtime. I’m fine. I texted Eddie (his boss)
Me: Rocky wanted to convert that room into another guest room with Sammy being here for the next 4 years while he’s in school. It’s really just a matter of timing. You know I’m here for you right?
15 mins later
Me: Right? .... seriously, it’s just a matter of hunting down a bed. Just say the word and I’m on it.
William: I’m Faaaaaabulous!
Me: I’m sure that’s a lie..... but I’ll let you go with it. Have you talked to Nicole? I’m sure they are both trying to blow your phone up.
William: yes maám I have.
Me: I’m super serious hun if you need anything, tell me. I didn’t buy a 4 bedroom house to fill with children. I bought such a big place to have a place people can go.
William: Yes maám
Me: K I’ll stop buggin you for now, but if you think here is a good option the sooner you know let me know the better it will be.... the couch is short and you are too tell for it ;)

Then his wife messaged me again
I messaged her near the start of the convo with William
Me: He said he’s going to get a hotel or something......
Her: I’m gonna try to get up to the courthouse and talk to the judge. They have court in 10 minutes.

William: Ha. You would be surprised where I can sleep.

Apparently she goes to court..... he wont’go till Oct. 16th......
