Metamorphosis in Poetry

When angels cry
The heavens die
Inside black and white
Colors divide through glass
Revealing their mask
Another image born
In the name of sin
It is torn
Decaying to what
Will be accepted and born

Freedom is an illusion
Preying upon our mind
Like insects
We pray
Without knowing why
Hope is dead
For what words
I’ve said
Bleed to the grave
I will be
Buried in

All my faces
Metamorphosis sin
Trying to make peace
With a God
That doesn’t know
That I live
Struggling with the stars
When the moon
Becomes so far away
Its cyclic cycle
Controls my decay

The voices
Grow faint
I can’t find
My way through
Claustrophobic stars
That swallow my scars
And I become
So hollow and faint
I disappear into the shadows
Waiting to be reborn
Inside another lie
I hope I never find
