1.) The difference between “the greatest” and “just good enough” is all style points. Empty ego puffery. Do your thing. Don’t worry about being “the best” or “perfect”, that’s for suckers. Get your deed done. Coast in on fumes, shamelessly. It’s what you do.

2.) The grief seems to be worst in the heart of the night. In the light, I do okay, in the still quiet between 11PM and 5AM, that’s when I get really squirrely. Is it because that’s when I’d watch TV with my pop? Because there’s less to occupy my mind? Who knows.

3.) Biden congratulating the Eagles reminded me, oh yeah, Delaware is kind of Philly’s Connecticut. Weirdly, New Jersey is both Philadephia’s New Jersey and New York’s New Jersey. I dunno how. Gluons, quarks, string theory.

4.) I’m still ashamed I never thought of selling empty boxes as “figment spinners” back when it was a craze. I’m sure I’m think of a really funny riff of Bitcoin three days after its final crash, too.

5.) When I was a kid, if you said “Solo A Star Wars Story”, it meant that like… Slash’s guitar solo when Axl had to go backstage and have a paranoid breakdown was “The Imperial March”. Just because it’s nostalgia doesn’t mean its wrong.

6.) Tom Brady is now 0-1 in the Super Bowl against Back-Up Quarterbacks and 0-2 again Back-Up Mannings.

7.) Every time I hear about a musical by Rodgers and Hammerstein, I wish it was by Rodgers and Rammstein.

8.) Dear Patriot fan friends, remember, we are not celebrating the Patriots loss because we dislike you or Boston or anything like that. Brady and Bellicheck are officious horrible pricks who rub shoulders with fascists and sell snake oil. We’re thrilled those guys lost.

9.) Today was the first day where the grief lifted enough during the day to do some light cleaning, dishes, clothes, make my bed, that kinda stuff. Tomorrow, a good friend who works part time as a house-cleaner is coming over to handle some of the harder stuff which is a blessing. I’m handling the daytime a little better now, the nights are still just as hard, probably will be for a while. I appreciate all of your concerns, my friends and my family, thank you. This is gonna be a really slow road to healing but I am on that road. I am… crawling on that road but I’m on it.

10.) I still say that David Matthew Band sounds like the name of a failed presidential assassin. Like “Gerald Ford was nearly killed by crazed loner David Matthew Band but Ford slipped on a banana peel and out of the bullet’s path”.
