Meowy Catsmas in 2017

Its the holidays. I’m trying to get there, mentally. Sometimes its easier than others. Santa shopping is all done, and Im looking forward to getting it all wrapped tomorrow afternoon.

Currently there are 5 cats chasing about my townhouse. NBD, right? We are fostering a pair of kittens while their new owners are on their honeymoon. Hamilton and Lafayette are just the tiniest little things. Its fun. And even more fun to know they have a specific end-date of their visit. Temporary kittens. Lafayette is grey with white tummy and paws and seems determined to try to climb the Christmas tree. Pretty sure my spray bottle will win that battle, though. Hamilton is this tiny buff colored guy, and he has been strutting around growling at my cats. Which is hilarious because he is maybe a third of their size. Go ahead and be a big guy, little dude. :)

Our holiday cards arrived in the mail today. It was a struggle to find the right design to capture our family. I knew I didnt want anything with ‘Happy’ or ‘Merry’ or ‘Joy’ etc… The emotion just didn’t fit the year it has been for us. Finally, I found a card that seemed to work.

The kids are getting excited for The Big Day. Doubly special for my oldest, because she was born on Christmas afternoon. So Christmas is double duty for her! She will be 7. And that feels so big.
