I just binged the whole series.

These films encapsulate the intellectual drive for human interaction and emotion. The main character’s fight against the fascist shark regime, a clear allegory for the Trump administration, is thrown into sharp contrast by the struggle he faces against the big fuck-off tornadoes. His interpersonal issues with his family and especially his father, whom he sees not only as a role model but also as a friend is merely the backdrop against a titanic battle between the forces of good and shark.

Also Kim Richards dies in the third one, which is always worth watching.
