I found my totem in Journal

It wasn’t very difficult. I suppose we all already know what our totem is already, but we’ve just never really brought it to the forefront of our consciousness. Because, I think, it’s always there and we’ve always lived with it, either in ignorance or by ostrication of that implicit part of ourselves.
Mine’s the Jaguar. I knew it was before I even started looking, but I wanted to honor my totem by giving it the space and attention to reveal itself to me and thereby become accepted into myself.
As such, I guess I can no longer deny that I’m a non-native to this particular place. Anymore, I’m not quite sure what that means. Our world has become one of few or no borders, with foreign species crossing oceans and infiltrating even the most secluded and secret places. But I suppose the one-sixteenth of me that is Chippewa Native American might make up for it? One can only hope.
