Christmas time in 2016 is almost over

I love this time of year. I’ve noticed over the years how people are losing the spirit of Christmas. There is no life or joy in their eyes when they tall about it. I work in customer service so I’m always interacting with people. They are seeing Christmas as a burden with the presents and family obligations. As an adult, I love Christmas because I get to see family and give presents. I don’t care if I get anything in return. I love putting my mind to work and thinking of heartfelt gifts to give. I love decorating and getting into the joyful mood. I love donating and helping others in need and I love saying Merry Christmas and seeing people smile. I’ve been getting a lot of “You don’t hear that anymore” and “It’s nice to hear Merry Christmas and not Happy Holidays”. I always say if you celebrate something else, let me know and I’ll wish you a Happy whatever. I just want to see people in the spirit of the holidays. I miss driving down the street and seeing all the houses decorated and lit up. Where did all the beauty go? Christmas isn’t just about presents, it’s about so many other things. So Merry Christmas to everyone! And if you celebrate something else then have a Happy Holiday!
