11.5 So Tired in These Foolish Things

It’s after the football game and I’ve met crazy x-roomie and other girls from my former flag corps days. It’s been a long, long day that started at around 7 with getting ready and saying goodbye to Elaine. She dropped me off on campus and I met my fellow band alumnus at the music building.

Good to see everyone - we rehearsed and then went to a barbecue tailgate type thing, practiced a little more and then did the march to the giant stadium in front of thousands of college football fans. Exciting!

Sitting in the stadium with the old friends felt so much like homecoming - because it was!! It was a total blast.

Halftime show was funny and fun, and the great thing about it was since we are the alum band, it doesn’t matter - we couldn’t really get in trouble for anything. I mean, what were they going to do, kick us out?

It was all such a fun time, and now I’m back in the basement loft about to get ready for bed. I have a lot to write about, but I’m so beat.

Brunch tomorrow with some of the girls. I can’t wait.
