While I’ve generally been accepted here in town for being gay, I’m still afraid to hold hands, give a hug or a kiss on the cheek. I’m afraid that someone will get in my face or throw something at me.
I shouldn’t have to be afraid. I just shouldn’t have to be afraid. Dammit.
