Should adults be afraid of the dark? in Rubysmom328

I’m 35. I’ve slept with a night light all my life. I tell others I don’t really need it. I tell them it is so I can see at night and not trip over anything (I’m notoriously clumsy). The truth be told is that I’m 35 and still afraid of the dark. It’s never gotten better. I have a near panic attack if there is no light. I also must sleep with all doors closed in the room (closet and bedroom door). Then I feel comfortable enough to sleep. I’m just wondering if I’m the only adult out there who can’t sleep without a nightlight. I wonder if it is some form of sleep paralysis I’ve been reading about lately. Oh well. I’m getting really tired, can’t keep my eyes open. Bedtime then. Doors closed. Light on. Comfy pillow. Check, check, check.

Good night.
