So I thought the event was a success, but we took a small loss. I took more loss because I was buying stuff with my own money that I won’t be getting back.

I had some issues which I have discussed with my sister. Some, not all. One problem we ran into was that she didn’t listen to me when I told her to reverse the number of Asian meatballs and Greek meatballs. In the hood there are quick shops and quick shops have kitchens and those kitchens sell gyros. She didn’t want to reverse the number and stated that not everyone has “my” sophisticated taste. But that was the first thing we ran out of. On top of all that she made them much bigger than she did the others so yes we ran out quicker.

No meatballs were cooked at 11a when we started. I understand the need for fresh, but when we started picking up, there was no room for socializing. We prepped veggies for two days. I made ALL the salads including the Asian slaw recipe. She has been dead set on a slaw which is fine, but she NEVER HAD AN ASIAN SLAW IN HER LIFE and I was left to find a recipe for it. I was kind of pissed. I made a Greek Salad dressing from scratch. I packed 5 salads each (regular Garden salad, Greek salad, Asian slaw) dressed them, and she wanted to be master of the meat. She separated the meat into pounds. Then set them aside. She put the flavors on them, then set them aside. I was bothered because she could have just kept cooking them instead of waiting. When we discussed this, she said she wasn’t waiting. We ended up falling behind because more people were asking for the lamb and there weren’t any ready. Some of my people came and one of them waited for a terribly long time. I went in the kitchen to find out that while my sister was doing all this talking and she had mentioned that some more lamb needed to go into the oven, she never actually PUT any in the oven. I was pissed.

So after those went in, another friend showed up and doesn’t eat pork and the beef were out as well. So someone ELSE had to wait. After that, I just started cooking. Once a batch was done, I waited until the pan cooled off a bit and then I washed it and set up for the next round. I don’t like dysfunction when it comes to business. My name is out there.

On top of all this, I dropped my phone and now I can’t see the screen.
Put a call in to Him and asked if he had a spare. He and the Mrs. were in Dubai. I think after I get this from him, I’m gonna be done talking to him because looking at their pictures that I purposely shielded myself from, they kind of make me sick.

On that note, I’m done fussing.

Kindest regards,
Sister
