renewal in poetry

We’re losing these geniuses so fast,
someone’s gonna have to step up,
there’s not even a choice now,
but now it just has to be us.
I know, right? It sucks.
I sure as hell don’t feel ready,
I feel anxious and angry and
riddled straight through with doubt
but the laws of entropy have bourne it out.
We are all that we have
just these brains just these hands
someone’s gotta change the world
it doesn’t matter what you planned
I know, right? It sucks.
but now it just has to be us.
