So I went to karaoke last night. It was like a two person concert. It was fun.

Talked to DJ and he apologized for his behavior on Saturday, stating that he was really drunk. I didn’t notice that he was drunk. I did notice the girls that got on my damn nerves and killed my buzz.

I didn’t mess up a whole lot. Maybe one or two songs I actually cracked on, but my throat was getting dry a little. I got three requests. One from the one guy who I first saw when I sang Lionel Ritchie a little while ago. He was there this past Saturday looking really nice in a button down and black slacks. He’s rather cute too. Anyway, he was there this past Saturday and heard me sing “True Colors” by Cindy Lauper. He wanted me to sing it again.

By the end of the night, everyone that was there said I was their favorite singer. DJ was giving me shit about not singing into the microphone enough. This one guy said, “I have to sing after that, huh?” I said, “Sure you can. I’m nobody. I’m nothing.” One guy asked to do a duet with me and it would have been great if he could have stayed on his key. Every time I tried to harmonize (we sang Time Of My Life, Jennifer Warnes & Bill Medly) he would go to the note I was on. Every time we actually had a harmony, he jumped on my note. But it was fun. Very fun.

Because of my choices of songs all night (including Player’s Baby Come Back-been dying to do that one. LOL) the DJ said, “You sound pretty good for a white girl.” Which was funny because I’m not. LOL Effin jerk.

But I got fans. It’s easy to have fans when people aren’t clamoring over themselves to out do you just because they don’t expect you to sound like much.

I get so nervous singing in front of other people for real. I like the attention of being a fan favorite without being famous. LOL

So I clocked out shortly before midnight. I had to. Because I have to work. I’m at work now so. There it is.

Oh, Baby, I’m a Star…

Peace, Love & Light…

Kindest regards,
Sister
