Homecoming was about as uneventful for my son as I thought it would be, but he went for her and that made her happy. I don’t like her brother/father. With each interaction, I like him less and less. It’s like he is cool, but this incredibly LARGE asshole. I blame it on him being short. But that was cool. My son now has another shirt to add to his arsenal of colors. LOL He and I have a date this Friday. Since I’m not going to The Bahamas, I have a check to play with a little. Please pray I don’t go overboard.

I said a long time ago that working with my sister may not eventually be the best thing for us, but I’m willing to do this. Nothing says I have to be only this or only that. I just need to adjust my life and create a new life style to accomodate. Anyway, she came to my house on Friday so we could do the meatballs for this job for a friend. After a few issues, we got it worked out. He agreed to the higher price and put me at ease by saying, “We are in business to make a profit!!” Me, being a person who can’t afford a lot of stuff and seeing prices for things, it made me concerned we were over charging and these were just meatballs. At any rate, she started on them and I had to make a run. She made the first few batches too big. So I had to cut them in half and rebake them because they were not done. I’m glad I caught that and I’m glad I checked that after she left. She fretted over the tzatziki sauce. She was so hell bent on cucumber and mint and didn’t listen to any of my suggestions because she was bent on following a particular recipe. To “fix” this, I added kosher salt, a little more garlic, and mayo and dill. She was concerned that it was too “cucumbery”. I didn’t want to buy anything else so I just used my mayo in my house instead of more greek yogurt. To me, to give it a good taste, we could have simply used mayo and sour cream, with cucumber, dill and garlic. It could also be that my sister didn’t strain the yogurt. I’m not saying I’m the best, but I’m damn good and I’m a perfectionist especially when it’s me on the line.

So after not hearing from my friend, and I was getting worried, I reached out and asked how did they go over and if they sucked, let me know honestly. He said they were a hit, but he effed up the presentation. LOL He got to grilling and drinking and forgot to set the stuff out so they kind of stumbled upon them and he forgot the sauce. LOL But I’m glad they went over well.

Sunday, as promised, I went to pick up grandbaby. I didn’t take him to the other place I promised though which I feel bad, but I did take him to the park for about an hour and a half. He had a blast.

Had to deal with my neighbor and his music again. I’m going to just ask my landlord if there are any non-invasive ways to sound proof a wall because this is ridiculous.

So needless to say I am tired. Running with the boy to find the perfect shirt to match her dress. Taking her to the dress shop. I’m sleepy.

That was my weekend. ::shrugs::

Kindest regards,
Sister
