Special Delivery in Him

I came home and checked my mailbox and noticed a dvd inside. That anything was in the mailbox meant that my son hadn’t checked the mail like always.

It was the live action Attack On Titan movie.
I knew it was from no other person.
I’d know that handwriting anywhere.

I sent a text with a picture:
You?

IF it WAS me, would I be lambasted, tarred and feathered, or be met with hostility?

No. You would receive a heartfelt thank you as always. But I’m guessing you didn’t.

(only because there was question of whether or not it was the cartoon version my son’s friend may have placed there)

Oh. Yes. It was me.

Thank you. How are you? How is Sam?

(Sam is his biological father who had surgery for a serious health issue)

Both good. He is why I transferred (work) to the region.

Good to “hear.”

And I left it at that. He left it at that.

I knew it wouldn’t be long.
He was at my house…
