Some Good, Some Bad in School Chronicles

Midterm went better than expected. My overall grade is a “B”. Feeling more confident. The teacher said that this class was basically a junior/senior class (I guess Advance Topics in Law was a clue) and he was very impressed with the output this class was giving.

I got back a couple of case briefs and got good marks on those as well. My essay questions went over well however he said that while my answers were accurate, I needed to add a bit more for discussion sake. I didn’t want to do that - scratch that - I couldn’t do that because I’m not passionate about this subject. When I’m not passionate, I’m facts driven. I will try in the future though, passion be damned.

So I’ve been going back and forth with my student advisor about my next set of classes. I had a funny feeling something financial was about to happen and in his latest message to me I found out what it was. He said that he could not register me for fall classes because there was a financial hold for me. I had already left a message for financial aid office last week to see if there was an issue, but haven’t heard from them yet. My advisor gave me a number to call to get it squared away. My whole point of financial aid is because I need the flipping aid. I can’t afford college and this one is one of the top of the line schools and I’m just going for a certificate and it’s still a pretty penny. I don’t like the idea of having to do student loans. Can’t seem to find a grant or scholarship that I qualify for to get extra money. It’s overwhelming to think about. But that’s me panicking forward. I have to be aware of what’s going on and the outcomes.

Will update further when I have news.
