One can only hope
that whenever the crap finally melts away
there will be fertile soil
for the coming spring beneath.
May the terror you feel now
bring apples
bring wheat
bring silage that cattle
might turn into good meat.
Because the spring will come someday
and we all gotta eat.
The crap will melt away.
Be there when it does.
