I finally got a consult with GYN. I wanted to talk about an ablation vs a hysterectomy.
He approved both actually so thats really nice! He suggests a hysterectomy and leaving my ovaries for hormone production. He said an ablation with my cycle history is likely to work for 5 years then fail. Its a faster procedure and easier recovery. Hysterectomy is 2 weeks off work ,6 week recovery but one and done.

I have to have a pelvic ultrasound and uterine biopsy first. No one told me that. Omg so he told me how they do the biopsy and im seriously going to be sick. Literally its like an IUD insertion where they use a pincer clamp into your cervix to hold it in place then cut into the uterine lining to test it for cancer... But its 100% required.

They are going to do both on May 29th. Im not happy with the damn biopsy at all. Then we will schedule the surgery. Im aiming for the full removal. Its going to run me $500 for the surgery.

Care credit woo hoo. But then its done. He said he would take the uterus, cervix and tubes. My cousin had uterine cancer so take it all lol. It does mean ill be off work for a while

I am hopeful. Even with a super painful biopsy on the horizon and then surgery....
