Mother's Diary, Visitor, and Steph's Mom Sunday, June 26, 2005

Ok, so catching up. It's been awhile since I have been here, and amazingly enough a lot has been going on. And the reason that is amazing is because normally my life is pretty redundant. Work, sleep, eat, work, sleep, eat.... etc...

I went home for Father's day last weekend. My mother gave me her diary of when my brother was in his coma from The Accident. It's incredibly sad. I had a hard time reading it. I haven't read all of it yet. There is a lot of medical papers to read through. I have teared up a few times reading about Shawn's progress. There are pictures of him after he woke up of him trying to feed himself. I breaks my heart. My 22 year old brother paralized on the left side trying to eat with out embarrassing himself. My God, the thought breaks my heart all over again. The pictures of him while in a coma are just as bad. His head was still shaved from where they had to cut into him so you could see the stitches. Quite a horrible sight. Anyway... this book will help me a lot for my book.

Today, I was at work and I had a visitor. Someone had walked in and peeked around the corner. I looked up and said hi. Then he said Hi back.. and that's when I really noticed him. It was no one other than Keith. Our conversation was very short. He asked me how I was. I said good. We stared at each other. I wanted to hug him but thought that was stupid and then he said he had to go. I told him that is was nice seeing him again, he said the same in return. End of story.

Also, today my really good friend Stephenie, who I also work with, had her mother pass away today. It was unexpected. Her mother didn't feel good on Friday and went to the doctor. They gave her medication. On Saturday she kept feeling bad so she kept sleeping. Then on Sunday she never woke up. I feel incredibly sad for her. She's so upset. I don't blame her. She wasn't that close with her mom. As a matter of fact from the stories I have heard she was very close to disliking her mother. However, that's still her mom. I pray for her. If you remember, maybe you could pray for her too. Her mother was 47 years old.

Ok, I am off to bed now. I will catch up with my favorites soon. I just haven't been in the online diary mood. (this is strange for me. )
