We got the check from insurance today. So the car saga is done. We used half of it to pay off credit cards. The other half is sitting in the account. Should just dump it in savings and try not to touch it. Its only 4K, Its not much. But Maybe we can manage it.
I handed out christmas gifts today. I made snowmen candy snowglobes and hand made soaps for my team in scents they said they enjoyed. And then for my housemates I made headbands. I saw S and T wearing their pink headwraps all day. They match lol. L said she needed to figure out a whole outfit around hers. C wasnt in so ill leave hers in her office. Z I didnt get/make anything but last year I got him a crochet set because he was learning to crochet. I dont get gifts for everyone every year.
I gave my boss some handmade soap. I do a oil blend that is decent for menopause and my aunties love it so I gave her some because I know shes been getting the start of peri. Shes like 5 years older then me haha. She loved the smell. Its simple but maybe it helps, maybe not, idk.
We did our manager team gift exchange at work. I gave everyone mugs that say the strongest are forged in the fire of the dumpster. Which is just a funny. J got all the ladies socks, he asked me what do woman like. I said socks, blankets and mugs, He sent mugs, socks and cocoa. Perfect. R got us all ornaments with the sr management team on them in a crossword puzzle. CEO gave us all custom pens which actually write decently, candy and starbies gift cards and a book. I still havent read the last book she got us lmao. K got us mugs with candy and starbies gift cards. I got like 50 bucks in starbucks gift cards. I hate coffee lol. My kids are getting them in their stockings lmao. ( amazon next time ladies geeze, or even dominos!) C got us all funny little gag gifts and more candy. She gave me a little caution sign about asshole answers ( 1 dollar for a sarcastic remark lol) a stress ball, a notepad and a turtle in a jar. I did toss the stress ball in the donate bag. I put the turtle on the shelf in the office with the sign. It was funny :) Poor new S. She didnt realize we kinda started a manager team gift exchange haha. Her 3rd meeting as a manager and its an exchange. We all gave her gifts and shes like oh... thanks... Woop. We did it last year with J too. He had no clue. Last year I made jars of home made pudding mix ( just add water and heat) I made chocolate and vanilla. I dont remember what I got. Idk more starbucks cards for sure. I have a stack.

Tomorrow is a half day. Im wrapping up shit, Wrapping T's gifts at work lmao, and chilling with my supervisees. Im going to make sure I spend a good half hour with each gal tomorrow for some one on one seeing ive been SO hectic lately... New year should maybe calm shit down? Idk the city is giving us the run around on ADA stuff in the newest building. stressful. But I hope so. I hate leaving my team feeling unsupported too. I know they are not, They have a team lead (N) and a great support with our more experienced gals and I answer their chats even after my working hours, but in the last year I havent had a chance to just chill with them for a few minutes and chat....
Well im going to go do adult things to prepare for Christmas. Even though I dont feel at all christmassy this year... I may see if we can go drive for lights tomorrow night in town where they do some cool displays. or walk the riverwalk where its lit up. Idk, Its like 70 during the day so its not like it "FEELS" like December anyway.

And my "old" office at work before I moved to the newest building. I decorated the waiting room. Its not as good as last year. But its not bad.
