One of the booking managers I use booked me at a church last Sunday morning. I show up and another artist was there setting up their gear. Turns out, my booking manager didn’t confirm the date and I wasn’t supposed to be there.
That was awkward - at first.
I knew them so I helped them with their gear. I got to sit and talk to them and share stories. They did amazing! It was fun to not be the person on stage for a change and get to listen to someone else. They did invite me on stage to do a few of my original songs. When it was over we all sat down to a meal prepared by the church and had a great afternoon.
I don’t believe it was a mistake so much… I believe it was orchestrated by the Heavenly Father to give me the perspective of the one in the audience. The person I’ve not been in a long time.
I may have to do that more often!!
