Really happy with the new girl. Shes going to fit in. She used to be a client years ago. She said she remembered me from when she saw her therapist. I was still a receptionist ( I havent been that in like 3.5 years haha) BUT she said I was always so nice and sweet to her but she was scared to chat.
I laughed and said now im your boss. Seriously im not scary. I try to be a good manager. You do your job, ask questions, ask for help. Learn from mistakes and dont be a dick to clients or to the team. Come. Pretty simple. If i give you corrections, its to make our collective jobs easier! Shes like i dont want to get it, I said cool, I dont want to give it, Dosent mean I wont.
I said text me if you are going to be late or sick, shes like I wont be. Told her girl, I get it, It may happen, just text me so I can plan with the team.
Shes funny, personable, light and welcoming and I think shes going to be a great fit.
The girl I thought we may hire to replace S. Yeah no. Her references were 85% good. The rest... Her previous manager said she wouldent take her back ( RED FLAG) And said "I dont really want to answer that" when pressed about attendance. She said she called in appropriately about 75% of the time.... Her other one said he would work with her again ( coworker, not manager) But she did take a fair amount of time off and it caused some issues.
WELP. I let K go because of that so NO THANK YOU! Bummer because her personality would be great!
So Two more interviews set, One tomorrow, One Thurs. Then we may have to take a break till late next week because we have EMDR training two days and CEO does the training.
Its ok. I would rather continue being short handed then start someone who is going to screw our team.
This one, im feeling good about.
I get a new title.
Office Director. Ceo says its not really fair to have clinical director ( on top of clinicians) Operations director ( systems) But here I am, with my fingers in EVERY pie, everywhere with every staff member an just being manager. Shes like you are on top of the managers. So Office Director it is haha. I was going for practice manager. I usually say im the office manager, practice manager and im a HRM ( human resources manager, with a certification to back it up)
But here we go, im getting a title change, a new staff member. and soon a new office!
Even if my building crew told me my new green couch turned white. I said imma turn your new truck white with a bucket of paint if it did. He shouted back ITS DUST!! DRYWALL DUST!! Dont hurt my truck lol.
The crew is hilarious and fun. :) good guys.
