  1. Only reason Clark Kent could afford the terrible pay at the beginning of a journalism career was that he could commute from his spacious affordable polar fortress and could literally eat by just standing in the sun.

  2. An adaptation/se/prequel drops not to your liking so you scream “canon/continuity/franchise” should be in the hands of The Correct People. No. The answer is once you absorb a tale it’s yours. Let go of the residual commodity. Render to Caesar what’s Caesars. Enjoy your own story.

  3. We want to believe in the myth of isolated genius because we wish that someday that’s what we could turn out to be, but it’s never been like that and it never will. We are all dependent on influence, dependent on collaboration, dependent on help, and that is beautiful.

  4. We want to believe progress an arrow forever forward but sometimes the thing we thought was progress wasn’t, we had to go back and start over. The Concorde Jet was A Thing for a little while! It proved infeasible & we went back to dumb ol’ normal planes. It’s okay.

  5. 50% of communication are the things you say, the other 50% is the room you leave for people to create upon hearing it. That’s how you get there, for people to actually buy in and listen and remember. That other half they create. That’s communication.

  6. A moody atmospheric horror cheese, a Dario Sargentos, if you will.

  7. A long complicated dream about being a very young child with all my memories of the future… and no way to do anything about it, because I was so very young and no one believed me, even when I could articulate what I remembered. It wasn’t better, it was worse knowing.

  8. An Elton John parody about the Dark Phoenix in the X-Men comics that starts with the line “GOODBYE NORMAL JEAN”.
