I spent an hour smelling perfumes in the store.
This may seem like a no brainer, But hey, Not only did i SPRITZ them to smell them. BUT Milestone for me!
I didnt sneeze, until after we left, I didnt develop a migraine, I could still breathe! and I came to a conclusion.
Im going to have ot make my own. Too often they are super "perfumey" and for 100 plus a bottle I shouldent be able to smell the damn chemicals. Or they are too heavy, causing sneezes and headaches. Or too something. Just not right. So many are really fucking SWEET. Gag.
So i think im going to have to make my own.
Cue neurodivergent dive into the "unknown" and a hundred dollars ( ok more...) of stuff in my amazon cart ( and then the essential oil brand i love...) . lmao.
Im going to make gingerbread and snickerdoodle for winter.
Strawberry lemon, maybe blueberry lemon, raspberry lemon? Anything paired with lemon. I love lemon. I have a strawberry shortcake I actually like from scentbird. It came as a sample, but thats the only one, ever, ive ever liked.
It dosent seem too hard and there are ways to do it without alcohol because I can smell THAT. Im debating about making a perfume oil or actual sprizers. And do you know how many COOL BOOTLE choices there are... Yeah...
Nutjob here. :)
Ive done this before with making my own extracts from flowers. Extracting down to a scented water. and its fun. Im going to go with actual oils this time. Because why the fuck not. Its not too different then how I make soaps and lotions. Why not perfumes.
